Please send me, or tell from where I can get some, 2 copies of the printed version of the Northants Round. My address is 13 Forest Rise, Thurnby, Leicester LE7 9PG. I shall be pleased to send a Self addressed and stamped envelope if that will help. Regards, garth Lee
Hi Garth
The Round was devised by the wonderful Ten Foot Club & this is their map
https://www.smartmovenorthamptonshire.net/sites/default/files/2017-12/Northamptonshire%20Round.pdf
I followed this & put my version with pictured instructions on this website. Go to the heading “The Northamptonshire Round” & you’ll get the dropdown of each of my stages.
You can click on each stage & then press the print button at the bottom. What I recommend is once you’ve pressed print is click on “More” & then increase the number of pages per sheet to say 5 otherwise you’ll get a forest
My only other advice is to buy the OS Maps covering each stage as the Round is marked on them. The early stages are not the best signposted
Hope that helps
Dave 🙂
I did this anti-clockwise in one day on 23rd June 2024. It took me 19 hours. I had learnt it in five ‘there and back’ sections as in some places the footpaths are not obvious or marked. Each a good walk in its own right. I’ve found over 2 years that the fields south of Hartwell do not have routes through rape fields marked and hedgerow gaps/styles/gates have lots of Stinging Nettles and Brambles. I am still investigating with Garmin why my VioActive 4 claims that it was 55.5 miles!
The link to this walk appears to no longer exist.
Hiya
Hove over it & each section will appear & then click on those 🙂
