Walk 9: Kathryn’s birdsong in Warmington churchyard

One of our twitter followers, @Kathryn11Baird was walking in her local churchyard in beautiful Warmington a few days ago &, like many of us at the moment, noticed how clear the birdsong was.

She decided to record it & set it to some photos she’d taken of the churchyard. How lovely!

For those that aren’t sure where the beautiful village of Warmington is, it sits 2½ miles east of  Oundle. We’ve walked through it many times, mainly coming to it across the flood plains from Fotheringhay. It’s one of our all time favourite walks

Warmington sits on a beautiful stretch of the River Nene & the splendid watermill is a great place to sit & watch the world go by. It has 28 listed buildings, including the large 13th century church, featured in Kathryn’s film, the fine watermill, the Manor House & dovecote. The Nene Way footpath also runs through the village
